A colorful night by: Gustavo Galindo, Mitre, and Sin Color, Presented by: Sunset Eclectico and The Living Sessions
January 28, 2016 was one of those magic nights that you remember because there was just a special vibe in the air. An intimate setting at the versatile Club Los Globos located in Silverlake CA was the meeting point for was seemed to be an acoustic night where the lineup included Grammy Nominated artist, Gustavo Galindo, South LA based band, Sin Color, and the always soulful Mitre who was joined by his inseparable companion, the poetic Catrina Katarina, Alih Jey, and Gustavo Galindo, the night was presented by Sunset Eclectico and The Living Sessions.
Mitre was the first one to captivate audience with an acoustic performance. Mitre and company performed a perfect acoustic set and welcomed the attendees to a magical night. During an interview to The Living Sessions prior to the show Mitre shared with us the story behind his music and the colorful character that always joins him on stage, here is the link to the interview: “TLS Entrevista a Mitre”
Gustavo Galindo visited the city of Angels on his California Tour 2016 after having shared his talent in San Diego and with another performance scheduled in Oakland for the weekend. The Living Sessions was able to chat with Gustavo prior to the show and he even shared his talent with us via an exclusive interview where he shared a song called “Only The Lucky Get Out Alive”. Check out the interview: “TLS Entrevista a Gustavo Galindo”
Gustavo Galindo arrived to the stage of Los Globos and was welcomed by friends that traveled just to see him perform, Gustavo was also joined by his good and talented old friends from LA and what had been planned to be an acoustic performance was an amazing display of talent where the electric and acoustic guitars danced all night. Gustavo is currently working on creating new songs, his plans are to release a bilingual album and we definitely can’t wait to listen to it.
Then the night changed its color when South LA based band Sin Color arrived ready to show their true colors. Personally, it was my first time experiencing Sin Color and really enjoyed the different color tones that they portrayed in each song. This versatile band played from indie pop, cumbia, passing through disco and bossa nova. We had an amazing closure by Crisia Regalado, the band’s lead singer, who happens to also be a trained opera singer, Crisia sang a mariachi song a capella that made the audience go wild.
The moments of the night were captured by Sandra Flores from Sandra Flores Photography Sandra Flores Photography and we feel really proud to share her beautiful work with you.
Thank you to everyone that made this night possible and showed their support, with your help we have no doubt that more magical nights will be written.
